Randomness

I have never been so glad to be at work as I was this morning after spending a couple of days at the building from hell. I could have kissed the floor.

On the down side, I'll be spending more time at said building from hell trying to help them clear their tags. Frankly, I don't think it's going to happen on the first go around, which will mean fines and a 6 month survey cycle. I just don't see how the plan of correction that boss lady and I wrote in the last two days can be implemented in a week. A week.

Vacation coming up next week. My father's 70th birthday on the 13th. My mom's throwing him a big party, so I'm making the trip up to SC to attend. He loves submarine books (he served in the Navy Sub Service), so I bought him a beautiful edition of a classic--Run Silent, Run Deep. It was the first submarine book I ever read. A classic book for a classic man. I hope he enjoys it.

It's finally starting to act like fall around here. I love the cool weather!
