The new meds are kicking ass! I haven't cycled into depression in days, and have a general feeling of well-being that's really made being at work much easier. I have a lot less anxiety as well. I have one more "step" in my cross-taper, and I'll be at the target doses. It wasn't nearly as miserable as I expected it to be. The only downside is that it is brutal getting up in the morning. If I could just sleep another hour or so, I'd wake up on my own, but getting up to that alarm just jangles my nerves. I have to drag my ass out of the bed. Still and all, it's worth it.Finally got the cat to stop peeing on the floor. Hubby suggested that the old, covered litterbox was just too small for two cats so we bought a huge, open litter box. To give the kitties some privacy, we bought a privacy screen for them that screens the box from view. No more peeing on the floor. Yay!
The activities department did a great job decorating the building for Halloween. It was so cool. The main dining room, especially--every table had a creepy chandelier type thing hung over it with cobwebs all hanging down. Tomorrow, they have the Halloween carnival--lots of kids come in, games and candy galore. The elders love it. They love anything involving kids. It's a lot of work to put together, but way worth the look on their faces.
We're going all "bah, humbug" on Halloween this year. The porch light will be off. I feel like a cheapskate, but it is what it is. The dog just can't handle all that knocking at the door. She goes roaring at it like she's going to take out an intruder or something, which is all great and fine, but it takes me to restrain her, while he reassures the kids that no, they won't be eaten by the monster within. Not really fun times. It's much easier on the whole family if we forgo the whole knocking thing all together.
I'm so glad it's Friday. I really love my weekends. Have a great one!

congrats on getting the cat pee thing under control lol. that can be so frustrating!
and WHOO HOO on the meds! if you wouldn't mind, i'd really like to know what you're taking. i don't feel that my daughter's antidepressant is working..
Glad you are feeling better! Also glad you got the cat situation solved. Cats are funny that way. Picky about their poopers. :)
No kids come by my apartment house, so I don't have to give out candy. That doesn't stop me from getting candy, unfortunately. ;-)
You really do sound so much better....have a great weekend...I have to work!
