1. It’s July. How has the weather been where you are?
It's northeast Florida. It's hotter than hell. And humid. We're in our "monsoon" season, so we get thundershowers everyday too. Yay. I don't live here for the summer weather, that's for sure.
2. What is the best way for you to beat the heat?
Stay in the house, preferably in front of a fan.
3. “It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.” Do you buy that?
Definitely. I've lived in the high desert as well as here. Florida heat, due to the humidity, is much more miserable. 95 here is worse than 95 in Santa Fe, any day.
4. Do you like hot tubs or saunas?
Not particularly.
5. What’s the hottest you’ve ever been?
I grew up in gulf coast Mississippi, and have lived here for some time. Both places are hot and humid. I've experienced over 100 degree temps, with humidity in the 90s. It sucks.
6. How many times do you hit the beach in the summer?
I don't go to the beach, even though it's close. I stay out of the sun as much as possible, truth be known.
7. When you were a kid, what did you do in the summer?
I was outside all the time. Usually riding my horse. We spent a lot of time in the water, too.
8. Surfing. Have you ever gotten on a surfboard? Body surf?
I've never tried surfing. The gulf where I grew up is very calm and flat, and while we do have surf here, I've never tried it. I've body surfed though, it was super fun in the big surf in Hawaii.
9. What’s your favorite summer song?
Hubby just reminded me I *do* have a favorite--Summer Song, by Joe Satriani

I'm thinking that Florida is the last place I'd wanna be this time of year. At least the hurricanes have been calm :)

I rode my horse all the time in the summer, too!
I don't like humidity but I do love the heat And I so love summer. I need to move to Florida!
remind me never to live there this time of year! and I think it's bad here whew!
I would have loved to grow up riding horses! That sounds like such fun.
Daily thunderstorms sound a bit tedious. Great responses. Enjoy the day...
I don't think I could live in FL. The humidity in SC was too much for me.
Fans are the best (since I don't have a/c). I got an awesome one at a garage sale for $3 and have owned it for years now!
Riding your horse sounds great. I'm learning all kinds of new songs today, I never heard of this one.
Wow i can just imagine how how it is there. But enjoy the stay at home with white and comfortable clothes. white colors sort of soothes the heat.
I played too today!
